Week of Trash, Day 1, PM

I know that most of you could hardly sleep last night, just waiting to see what kind of trash we created yesterday.
Well, most of it was due to the fact that I made stuffed shells for dinner (Well, for lunch, but Mr. GreenerMiami couldn't make it, so dinner it was!).
Trash Inventory.
Below main items are listed, along with if my city or county normally accepts these items (but it doesn't matter because my building does not recycle and there is no place so far for me to bring my recycling). Plastics will be noted with the recycling number (code) that is located on the bottom of the container.
City County
No No Pasta Shells, paper/cardboard box
No No Aluminum Foil, paper/cardboard box
No No Ricotta Cheese, plastic #5
Yes Yes Mixed Nuts, plastic #1
Yes Yes Tomato Sauce, aluminum/tin can
No No actual Aluminum Foil
No No organic waste: zucchini tips, bottom of lettuce, egg shell, coffee grinds, etc.
I'm actually left quite surprised. I thought that the paperboard boxes (shells/alum. foil container) would be recyclable, as well as the ricotta cheese container. All of that organic waste seems that it would work fine if I had a compost pile, or an indoor composter like NatureMill (full disclosure: this company is owned by a friend of a friend), which I really, really want.
Taking a final glance around the rest of the house, I only find 2 gum wrappers, a couple of Q-Tips, and a few tissues in the bathroom.
Stay tuned tomorrow to find out what kind of trash this GreenerMiami household makes today!
